Occurs in pools, swamps and swampy parts of brooks in the rainforest and humid forested savanna. 9 cm TL (Ref. 3788). Parents die during dry season and eggs left in the mud hatch only when the waters return at the start of the next rainy season. Feeds on worms, crustaceans and insects (Ref. 7020). Bottom spawner, 3 months incubation. Is very difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
出现于水池, 淹没与在雨林与潮湿的森林大草原中小溪的沼泽部份。 9 公分TL.(参考文献 3788) 亲鱼在乾季的时候死而且卵留在只有当在下一个雨季的初始水流回复的时候，泥孵化。 吃蠕虫，甲壳动物与昆虫。 (参考文献 7020) 底部产卵鱼， 3 个月孵育时间。 在水族馆非常难以维持。 (参考文献 27139)
