Etymology: Sinogastromyzon: Latin, sino, sina = from China + Greek, gaster = stomach + Greek, myzo = to suckle (Ref. 45335); macrostoma: Name is derived from the Greek macro, (long or big) and stoma (mouth), in referece to the relative larger mouth when compared with its congeners.
