Etymology: Kumba: Named for the Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom, whose research vessel Sarsia dredged the type species.
Eponymy: KUMBA is an anagram of the initial letters of the Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom. This binomial commemorates the exploratory cruises to the Indo-West Pacific region jointly sponsored by ORSTOM and MNHN. (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
