Scale formula: 7.5-8.5/41-46/(3.5)4.5(5.5); 14 scales around caudal peduncle; 8 dorsal-fin branched rays; 13-15 anal-fin branched rays (Ref. 2940, 81282, 81639).
Body shape (shape guide): elongated; Cross section: compressed.
尖的對稱尾部的湖。 背部的: 3 單一的與 8個分支條。 肛門的: 3 單一的與 13-15個分支條。 銀色的有灰色的綠色背面。 在側邊上的 8-10個垂直的深色條紋, 比較短的在身體後部中。 肛門的, 感染的背鰭與尾鰭有紅色的。
Affinities: may be sympatric with R. senegalensis and R. steindachneri and has always been mistaken for R. senegalensis, which is the reason for it not being discovered. Maximum TL was recorded at 12.5 cm (Ref. 2801).
