Duri punggung (Keseluruhan (total)) : 0; duri punggung lunak (Keseluruhan (total)) : 17 - 19; Duri dubur: 0; Sirip dubur lunak: 24 - 26. A slender, laterally compressed body (Ref. 81635). Dorsal profile of the head is downward sloping and concave or straight; snout is V-shaped from above (Ref. 81635). Both anal and dorsal fins terminate at about the same level (Ref. 81635). The fish is dark chocolate-brown overall, lighter on the belly; the fins are dark brown (Ref. 81635).
