Etymology: Brochis: Greek, brogchia, -as = throat, trachea (Ref. 45335).
Eponymy: Robine Schwartz was the mother of aquarium-fish collector and exporter Adolfo Schwartz, Turkys Aquarium, Manaus, Brazil. Adolfo supplied the holotype and specifically asked that it should be named after his mother. (Also see Mrs Schwartz) (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
