الأشواك الظهرية (المجموع) : 5 - 6; الأشعة الظهرية الناعمة (المجموع) : 7 - 9; شوكة شرجية: 1; أشعه شرجية لينه: 10 - 12. Eyes large, diameter equal to interorbital space. Midlateral scale count 33-37. In preserved specimens, midlateral band's upper edge visible as lighter yellow-gold or black; the series of black dots on the scale rows extend as lines below the band.
Body shape (shape guide): elongated; Cross section: oval.
Appear to live in shallow waters in cays or close to shore. Nothing is known of its biology (Ref. 9760). Sometimes found in brackish marine lake (Ref 90102).
