Distribution: Eastern Atlantic: Mauritania south to Senegal, including Canary Is. (Ref. 133133); including Morocco, Mauritania, Guinea-Bissau and southwards to Angola. Reports of this species from Madeira and the Azores are unsubstantiated (Ref. 126427).
