Max. size:  4 cm TL (male/unsexed); 4.5 cm (female)
Environment:  pelagic; freshwater; pH range: 7.19999980926514 - 7.80000019073486; dH range: 5 - 15
Distribution:  Central America: Guatemala in the Finca River basin, 30 km NW of Cóban, Alta Vera Paz, in the Salbá River, tributary to the Negro River (Chixoy River) which becomes the Salinas River of the Usumacinta basin..
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits slow as well as rapid flowing waters. Occurs with two other genera of livebearers, Poecilia and Xiphophorus, depending upon locality.
