Family:  Serranidae (Sea basses: groupers and fairy basslets)
Max. size:  8.7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 1 - 110 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Atlantic: off the coast of Guinea and the Congo (Ref. 3589) and St. Helena Island (Ref. 5288).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found on hard substrates in shallow waters (Ref. 2683). Minimum depth reported taken from Ref. 2683.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 09 May 2013 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
