Family:  Ritidae (Velvet catfishes)
Max. size:  11.11 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: India.
Diagnosis:  The eye diameter is 28-39% of the head length, and the caudal fin has 20-22 rays. The teeth in the upper jaw are uniformly villiform, arranged in two patches separated at the midline. The palatal teeth are well-developed villiform, and organized into two distinct patches situated along the edges of the palate.
Biology:  Maximum size based on original description paratype (Ref. 132778).
