| Diagnosis: | The eye diameter is 28-39% of the head length, and the caudal fin has 20-22 rays. The teeth in the upper jaw are uniformly villiform, arranged in two patches separated at the midline. The palatal teeth are well-developed villiform, and organized into two distinct patches situated along the edges of the palate. | |||
