Family:  Pomacentridae (Damselfishes), subfamily: Chrominae
Max. size:  10 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 10 - 40 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Miyakejima to Okinawajima and Taiwan. Reported from the Philippines (Ref. 11643).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 12-13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-13; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 12-14. Description: Head and body yellowish light brown, tail white, fins same color as adjacent area of body. Body depth 1.5-1.8 in SL (Ref. 90102).
Biology:  Adults inhabit outer coral or rocky reefs; seldom in shallow waters (Ref. 7247). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205). Diurnal species (Ref. 52881).
