Family:  Pomacentridae (Damselfishes), subfamily: Chrominae
Max. size:  5.85 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 12 - 45 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Tonga, Pitcairn, and the Austral islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 12-12; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-14; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 12-14; Vertebrae: 26-26
Biology:  Feeds on planktons (Ref. 89972). Diurnal species (Ref. 54980). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
