Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: Schizopygopsinae
Max. size:  57.5 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 1,546.0 g
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Tibet.
Diagnosis:  Body grayish-brown on back of body and with irregular tiny spots, top of head and dorsal, pectoral and caudal fins with many spots. Barbels 1 pair; snout projected.
Biology:  Lives in main streams and tributaries of large rivers (Ref. 45563).
