Distribution:  Asia: India, Bangladesh and Nepal.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs mainly in the edges of sandy streams. Common near emergent or overhanging vegetation (Ref. 4832). Prefers pools and run areas of mountain streams (Ref. 12045).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 16 March 2010 Ref. (130435)
