Family:  Artedidraconidae (Barbled plunderfishes)
Max. size:  25 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 1200 - 2542 m
Distribution:  Southern Ocean: Known only from holotype collected at the South Orkney Islands.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Depth range: 2,473-2,542 m, the deepest record for Pogonophryne (Ref. 5181).
