Max. size:  9.3 cm (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Amazon River basin.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Specimens of P. machadoi were found partially buried in the belly of a specimen of Pseudoplatystoma where it apparently had burrowed through the body wall (Ref. 6868).
