Family:  Percidae (Perches), subfamily: Etheostomatinae
Max. size:  7.2 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Conasauga and Etowah rivers (in Coosa River system) in southeastern Tennessee and northern Georgia, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in swift gravel and sand riffles and runs of medium-sized rivers (Ref. 5723). Feeds on snails, limpets and immature aquatic insects, particularly caddisfly larvae and mayfly nymphs (Ref. 10294).
