Family:  Plesiopidae (Roundheads), subfamily: Plesiopinae
Max. size:  15 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Southwest Pacific: endemic to southern Australia and Tasmania.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults are benthic species which occur inshore (Ref. 7300). Eggs are guarded by the male parent (Ref. 205).
