Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 20 - 40 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: endemic to Galapagos Islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 12-12; Dorsal soft rays (total): 15-16; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 12-12
Biology:  Found on sand and gravel bottoms of coastal waters (Ref. 26282). Marketed fresh (Ref. 9114).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 15 September 2022 Ref. (130435)
