Max. size:  23 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; depth range - 366 m
Distribution:  North America: St. Lawrence-Great Lakes and Arctic basins from western Quebec in Canada and New York in USA west to Alberta in Canada and north to Northwest Territories in Canada.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  A dwarf form (Ref. 27547). Inhabits bottoms of deep, cold lakes. Feeds on small crustaceans and insects (Ref. 27547).

Threat to humans:  harmless
