This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: the dorsal fin originates above the 41st or 42nd lateral line pore, anterior to a vertical through the mid anus; distance from anus to the origin of dorsal fin 57.37%-61.8% in HL; predorsal vertebrae 40-41, preanal vertebrae 50, and total vertebrae count 140-141; fifty lateral line pores before the vent; and all maxillary, mandibular, and vomerine teeth multiserial and blunt (Ref. 137824). | |||
