Family:  Atherinopsidae (Neotropical silversides), subfamily: Menidiinae
Max. size:  5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic-neritic; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: lower Florida Keys in USA.
Diagnosis:  Anal soft rays: 12-15
Biology:  Occurs in pond waters of varying salinity (Ref. 7251). Migratory behaviour is undetermined (Ref. 126106).
