Environment:  pelagic-oceanic; marine; depth range 0 - 650 m
Distribution:  Atlantic Ocean: Antitropic bipolar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Feeds mainly on planktonic organisms, rarely on small fishes (Ref. 5759).
