Environment:  demersal; freshwater, potamodromous
Distribution:  North America: Missouri River basin in Montana and Wyoming to Illinois, USA; Mississippi River from mouth of Missouri River to Louisiana, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults inhabit shallow sand and gravel runs of medium to large turbid rivers (Ref. 86798).
