Distribution:  Central eastern Pacific: Esmeraldas, Ecuador.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 18-18; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-12; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 18-18; Vertebrae: 34-34
Biology:  The two known type specimens were collected from a tide pool (Ref. 48371).
