This species is distinguished by the following characters: pungent spines XXIII-XXVI, all spiny rays 71-74, terminating above the vertebrae 73-75; length of D2 is 26-31% of the length of the caudal part of the body and 83-112% of the length of D3; scales extending anterior to the pectoral fins; preoperculo-mandibular pores (pm) seven (Ref. 130195). |
