Environment:  benthopelagic; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: southern Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 34-40; Dorsal soft rays (total): 4-6; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 25-28. Remarks: caudal fin rounded.
Biology:  Inhabits rocky reefs, tide pools, and deep estuarine habitats.
