Max. size:  17.4 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range - 8 m
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Victoria.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in sheltered gulfs with a hard or mud substrate, and exposed sandy beaches (Ref. 4983). Feeds on fish (Ref. 558).
