Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 66-85; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 61-75; Vertebrae: 49-56. Body short, broad, covered by small deciduous scales, ending in a very small caudal peduncle; 20-23 modified scales on lateral line; gill chamber, mouth floor and lips without pigmentation; 49-56 total vertebrae; mouth subterminal (Ref. 31160). |
