This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: pleated folds of skin on ventral surface of pectoral fin spine and first ray of pelvic fin; 3 longitudinal lines on the body (Mid dorsal, mid ventral and mid lateral); short nasal barbel, inferior mouth, low head depth at occiput 50.2-57.0% HL; 2 longitudinal lines (mid ventral and lateral), non serrated dorsal spine and pleated undersurface of paired fins (Ref. 137752). | |||
