Family:  Sisoridae (Sisorid catfishes), subfamily: Sisorinae
Max. size:  9.14 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: India.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 1-1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 5-6; Anal soft rays: 8-9; Vertebrae: 32-32. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: pleated folds of skin on ventral surface of pectoral fin spine and first ray of pelvic fin; 3 longitudinal lines on the body (Mid dorsal, mid ventral and mid lateral); short nasal barbel, inferior mouth, low head depth at occiput 50.2-57.0% HL; 2 longitudinal lines (mid ventral and lateral), non serrated dorsal spine and pleated undersurface of paired fins (Ref. 137752).
