This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: subterminal mouth; lateral-line stripe absent; 21-27 premaxillary teeth, 11-16 dentary teeth, and 4-8 endopterygoid teeth; basibranchial 1 unossified; eye diameter corresponding to 22.0-29.3% of HL; ii,14-17 pectoral-fin rays; and 185-225 anal-fin rays (Ref. 138396). | |||
