Max. size:  52.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 950 - 1900 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Seychelles and Mascarene Plateau.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-8
Biology:  Known from 12 specimens only (Ref. 75955).
IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated (N.E.) Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
