Family:  Labridae (Wrasses), subfamily: Cirrhilabrinae
Max. size:  8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 30 - 40 m
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: known only from Rowley Shoals off northwest Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits steep outer reef slopes over rubble with patches of live coral (Ref. 9710).
IUCN Red List Status: Vulnerable (VU); Date assessed: 12 April 2008 (B2ab(iii)) Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
