Max. size:  9.6 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 9.9 g
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; brackish; pH range: 6.80000019073486 - 7.5; dH range: 6 - 12
Distribution:  Asia: Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Myanmar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits ponds, ditches and rivers in plains and submontane regions (Ref. 41236). Breeds freely in ponds, tanks and small streams. Utilized also as larvicidal fish (Ref. 4832).
