Max. size:  23 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Amazon River basin, along the Amazon-Solimões River from Tabatinga to Óbidos, Brazil.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Appears to be a vegetarian in nature (Ref. 12251). Found in Manaus fish market (Ref. 40602).
