Environment:  pelagic; freshwater; pH range: 7 - 8.5; dH range: 10 - 15
Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to Lake Tanganyika.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Semi-pelagic microorganism feeder which is common over sand bottoms. Roams in schools of several hundred fish (Ref. 6770).
