Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Cuyuni River basin of eastern Venezuela, Essequibo and Cuyuni rivers of Guyana, Corantijn River of Suriname and Guyana, and Marowijne-Maroni River of Suriname and French Guiana.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 7-7; Vertebrae: 31-32
Biology:  Maximum length based on largest examined specimen.
