This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: interorbital width 25.9-29.6% of HL; dorsal-fin spine length 34.7-41.8% of SL; background gray to light-gray densely covered by large round to quadrangular light spots, larger than pupil; extension of dorsal-fin posterior membrane, reaching adipose-fin supporting plate; and completely naked abdomen (Ref. 138404). | |||
