Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: Barbinae
Max. size:  13.4 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Europe: Lake Yliky, Greece.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal soft rays: 9-9. With spiny and serrated last unbranched dorsal-fin ray. Median lobe of the posterior lip moderately compressed.
