Max. size:  3.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Brazil.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-9; Anal soft rays: 13-14
Biology:  The species is found in marginal areas with fast flowing water 50 cm deep, occupied by submersed macrophytes. Juveniles can be found in even shallower marginal sandy habitats (Ref. 133472).
