Max. size:  5.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  South America: Brazil.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits shallow streams and pools, usually within forest (Ref. 89008). Not a seasonal killifish. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 18 May 2022 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
