Remarks Feeds on amphipods, mud shrimp, small crustaceans and molluscs. Parasites of the species include myxosporidian, Ceratomyxa acadiensis; and 4 trematodes Derogenes varicus, Fellodistomum furcigerum, Stephanostomum baccatum and Hemiurus sp. (Ref. 5951).
